Site opportunity by ZIP

Type a ZIP. See the income, population, existing car wash supply, and a composite opportunity score for greenfield development.

How to use the site opportunity calculator

  1. Enter a 5-digit US ZIP code for the area you're evaluating for a new car wash.
  2. Read the four core metrics: mean per-return income (IRS AGI), ACS population estimate, existing car wash count in the ZIP, and the weighted-average rating of the existing supply.
  3. Check the composite opportunity score (0–200+ scale): below 25 = low opportunity, 25–60 = mid-tier, 60–120 = above-average, 120+ = strong opportunity signal.
  4. Click through to the parent MSA market analysis for the broader context — operator concentration, format mix, and aspect-level customer signals around the ZIP.

Type any 5-digit US ZIP to look up.

How the score works

  • Score 0–25: Low opportunity — either limited income or high existing supply (or both).
  • Score 25–60: Mid-tier. Most ZIPs land here. Worth looking at adjacent ZIPs and drive-time overlap for the full picture.
  • Score 60–120: Above-average opportunity. Higher income relative to existing supply.
  • Score 120+: Strong opportunity signal. Income materially above norm with limited existing supply.
  • Coverage is limited to ZIPs inside the 392 US MSAs we track. Rural ZIPs outside any MSA won't appear.
